Duumba Ruumba

DESCRIPTION

This was a group project that took course over 4 weeks where I and 11 other students got together to make a game.

In the game you play as a Ruumba, that have a list of tasks that needs to be done to complete the level. 

In this project I worked closely with the programmers in the team, and made quick and "dirty" prototypes of the grabbing mechanic,  the dishwashing machine function and a random prop script to randomize the pick-up items.

Other than that I did also together with another designer plan out the In game UI, and all the menus in the game. He made the main menu art, and I did the in game UI art. This was later implemented with some help from the programmers.

A heads up here is that I unfortunately do not have any screenshots of the actual code I made, as most of my code was later changed/altered to work with the other systems the programmer had worked on.

I do however have some videocaptures of how the prototypes I made.

The Prototypes

In the first one here, I had a simple grab, and when dropped near the dishwasher, it would appear on the counter (in a line)

And here the items you put out are randomized, and have the correct colliders no matter what item that got picked.
